Hollywood & Vine is probably one of the classiest buffets I have ever been to. With an authentic, modernized decor of a typical dine-in restaurant, the whole restaurant gives off a hipster, family friendly vibe! When I visited, we went for lunch. (4:30PM reservations, I believe that’s lunch. Correct me if I’m mistaken) The restaurant wasn’t packed at all, and we still had to wait about 15 minutes regardless of having reservations. Our waiter tried to sit my party of 5 in a table that looked like it could probably fit 3, that totally wasn’t cool. However, after we requested a bigger table he quickly found one that catered to us. He didn’t seem to be as cheerful as the rest of the staff that I usually encounter at Disney, and I was disappointed that I wasn’t met with the same enthusiasm as previous restaurants. (After all, I am paying $60 per person!) However, I will not blame the whole restaurant for one cast member having a bad day. Other than those small hiccups, I can honestly say this is a great place to eat. Daisy (yes, the duck) greeted us as soon as we walked in, she had a designated photo section for guests. We were given a free ticket to take a photo with her on the way out, which we happily took advantage of. Aside from Daisy, Donald, Mickey & Minnie came to our table several times and we absolutely loved it! I got photos, videos, and lots of laughs with the characters. It was my second character dining experience, and it did not disappoint. Now for the best part, the FOOD! I did not try a single thing I didn’t like. From lobster & shrimp mac and cheese, to roasted turkey hand cut right in front of you, to the best salad bar i’ve ever seen! (Yes, I said SALAD. GREEN STUFF. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I couldn’t believe it either). Oh, and the kids have their own separate buffet. It was filled with chicken nuggets, french fries, pizza, and other things that kids love to eat. That was totally awesome. The food was just off the chain. They even had a huge variety of things at their dessert buffet. They had the basics like soft serve ice cream and chocolate cookies, but they also had fancy cheesecakes and baked goods. It was an amazing variation. As I've stated in previous articles, my mother has a nut allergy. It just so happened that another person in my party has a pepper allergy. The chef came to our table and pointed towards everything my mother could and couldn't have. As for the pepper allergy, he literally cooked a whole huge bowl of different foods for the lady in my party! That was probably one of the dopest things. She didn't get to enjoy the buffet part but they pretty much brought a freshly cooked, pepper free, buffet to her. That was really cool. I do believe this place is extremely pricy, and for that reason I would rate it a solid 4 stars. Other than that, the experience was spectacular! The food was great, and if you have some extra money to splurge, this isn't a bad option for Hollywood Studios at all.
