Let's just start by saying this is my favorite restaurant of all time, not just in Disney. The ambience of the restaurant is much like the resort itself, very tropical and relaxing. They have character dining in the mornings with Lilo and Stitch. For dinner, there's a cast member playing the banjo and singing live. They also play games with your children. If you get lucky and sit by a window, you can see the beautiful Magic Kingdom castle at a distance. It is a super family friendly environment, and also perfect for romantic dates. This restaurant is about $55 per person, or $45 with an annual passholder discount. It's worth every. single. penny. They start off with some hawaiin pineapple bread with butter. They also bring a salad with cranberries & kale. Don't bother filling up with this, or you'll miss the good stuff! After your salad, they bring a plate with noodles, wings, dumplings, and vegetables. I know it's hard, but you need to try your best to pace yourself because the best part is yet to come! Check out what the platter looks like: Everything tastes so delicious, it's hard to stop eating. They catered to my mother's peanut allergy, stating that the only thing involving peanuts is the peanut sauce. Once they bring you all this food, THEN they begin bringing the meat to your table. Barbeque chicken, steak, and shrimp straight from the grill and right onto your plate. It tastes so freaking good, words don't do this place justice. Just when you think you've eaten so much you're going to throw up, they bring the mouth wateing dessert.... I also strongly recommend their alcoholic drinks. They've all got a tropical, fruity touch to them. They're delicious, even the virgin ones! Like I mentioned before, it's a pricey restaurant and it's hard to get reservations here. The easiest way is to check a few days before your desired date to attend. If my trip is in 5 days, I check every single day, every hour, for 5 days straight. You can also call, but unless you get a super happy go-getter to help you, you may not have much luck. I come back here often, because it's THAT good! The service is different every time I go. Sometimes we get a great server that's very attentative; Other times I go and want to literally ask to be helped by someone else. I've visited 7 times. On 3 occasions, our servers were extremely slow and careless. I love disney for supporting seniors but it made the three experiences unfortunate for my party. All 3 servers were seniors, didn't check our table often, took forever to bring our food, and just didn't live up to disney's usual service. Aside from the inconsistent customer service, this restaurant is beyond worth coming too, and I'll continue to come back every trip. Ohana For BreakfastPersonally, I love Ohana. With that being said, I loved breakfast. However, I could see how some wouldn't come back. The restaurant was PACKED, so I'll blame the somewhat lousy service on that. The food was nothing short of spectacular, except for the waffles. The waffles were hard as rocks. I wished they gave bacon but the ham more than makes up for it. The breakfast bread, made with pineapple and coconut is absolutely delicious. It was hard not to eat it all! I actually ate the eggs too, which is saying something because I hate eggs. I'm going to say the biggest downfall about breakfast is the price. I had a tables of wonderland card, which means I got 20% off the whole bill and it was still $40 per person. That's quite ridiculous, considering there is better breakfast at 1900 Parkfare for a better price and it includes character dining. Because of the price, I won't be coming back. However, it was nice to experience at least once. Ohana is still my favorite restaurant. (:
My favorite thing about the breakfast is the character dining! I took photos with Lilo, Stitch and Mickey. It's dope that they also have a mini breakfast parade for the little ones. Every hour, they get up and have a parade around the restaurant which is great for the little ones that can't sit still for too long!
