H2O Glow Night at Typhoon Lagoon

This special ticketed event is totally worth the money! Especially if you've been to Typhoon Lagoon before & you know how much it sucks to walk around burning your feet on the hot cement. 

No more re-applying sunscreen every 20 minutes, H2O Glow Night has arrived!
I paid $70 with the annual passholder discount and it was worth every penny. The party is from 8PM to 11PM but they allow you into the park starting at 6PM. I arrived around 6:30PM and it was incredibly packed. Do keep in mind, I went mid-summer. (July 20)

Upon arrival, you receive a glow in the dark bracelet with several different lighting settings; probably to differentiate between party members & non-party members. Once it gets dark, then the fun begins! I spent my first hour in the lazy river just waiting for the park to clear out. By 7:30PM, there were no waiting times for any rides, it was phenomenal!

Riding the slides again and again with no lines was fantastic, but my favorite part was actually the dance party. In front of the wave pool, they put a stage with a DJ and they play music for everyone in the area. The wave in the wave pool comes every minute & a half so it was so much fun to dance in the water & ride the waves. Surrounding the wave pool are tons of bars with glow cubes inside to make the experience extra magical! See below.

I had a Pina Colava, which actually wasn't a part of the special drinks that were dedicated to the party, but i'm not much of an alcohol drinker so I stuck with the fruity stuff. I also decided to just put money in a typhoon lagoon gift card so I wouldn't have to carry around my debit card. (You can see it in the picture) Plus, I got to take home an extra souvenir!
​They have a package where you can get a meal & a towel for a low price as well. 

Another great perk of the party is the character experiences! You get to take pictures with Woody & Buzz Lightyear. They have a special "Annual Passholders Only" experience with meeting the characters. I want to mention this park only has 5 rides. I say this because it may be a deal breaker for someone used to parks like Aquatica or Volcano Bay. I still loved it, regardless of what it was lacking.

Although I did see plenty of kids there, I'm not sure I would recommend bringing a child under the age of 5. It's pretty dark and the wave pool can get pretty intense. The Crush n' Gusher slide is also too intense for anyone under the age of 6 and you can't ride it without holding on so people can't have children on their laps. That would suck too, because that's totally the best ride in the park.

I didn't eat any meals because I ate before arriving, but I did have a huge bucket of icecream with a shovel to eat it! It was vanilla & chocolate icecream, whip cream, sprinkles, hot fudge, oreos and caramel. I would have it again 10x! All in all, I probably wouldn't attend H2O Glow Night again unless I was going with my family or something. I went with the hubby alone & it was nice for a first experience. If you haven't done it yet, I would definitely recommend you go!
