From the moment you step foot into the property you are treated like royalty. They valet your car, give you leis when you arrive and take your bags upstairs for you. The hotel is gorgeous and sincerely feels like you’re on a tropical vacation. This is why it's so expensive! However, going during April, May, August or September is the most affordable time of the year to go. They have a beach behind their huge amazing pool with a waterfall. The bungalows over the water are so gorgeous and the views of the magic kingdom fireworks from the hotel is an experience like no other. There is also the huge perk of having the monorail right in the hotel. This deducts traveling cost and saves a lot of time if you plan to go to Magic Kingdom or Epcot. From Epcot, it's easy to get to Hollywood Studios. There really is no need to pay for an uber or taxi unless you're going to Animal Kingdom. They have opportunities for you to rent boats for the day, they have a fire pit with a hang out area. The best part is you can buy dole whip here!!! Only other place you can get dole whip is magic kingdom. Not to mention that Ohana, the best restaurant on WDW property is in this very hotel! This is actually my favorite restaurant of all time, even outside of Disney. It's a buffet for breakfast and dinner, and even though it can be extremely expensive, I find it to be worth every penny.
The rooms are super nice , Disney really went in on the details of the decor. Some say the hotel is getting old and needs maintenance, I completely disagree. I haven't had any sort of bad experience with moldy smells or old rooms. The customer service in always on point! There is a hidden bar called the Cave right by the boats as well. The drinks are $30+ but they each come in a fancy souvenir cup, and you really only need one to be totally hammered. Myself and two others shared one drink. Overall, I would 100% recommend staying at this hotel!
