Before I start, I want to apologize before hand about the photos. At the time, I had no idea i'd be starting a disney blog. I'll do better next time!
All dessert parties I've attended were absolutely spectacular! With a dessert buffet and as much alcohol as you can dream of, it’s the perfect way to end your theme park adventure! Each dessert party I've gone to was a unique experience. The desserts at EVERY party were diverse, not just plain old chocolate and vanilla cake or cookies. They had your typical brownies, and such, but they also had a variety of cheesecake, berry desserts & even an icecream bar with toppings!
It might be a bit on the expensive side, and sure you have to book it sometimes within 4-6 months in advance, but I do believe it’s a memorable experience. It was worth it, for me at least. Each dessert party gets 5 stars from me!
Read below to see about my experiences at the Walt Disney World Dessert Party events.
I’ve actually been to 4 dessert parties.
The first was “Sparkling Dessert Party” in Epcot. The Sparkling Dessert Party showcased desserts from around the world. This happened to be my favorite dessert party because we were front row to the fireworks! Unfortunately, they didn’t have seating at this dessert party, only tables; but i’m not boujee, I enjoyed it very much.

The 2nd & 3rd dessert parties were christmas themed. We went the same weekend, one day was Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Dessert Party in Magic Kingdom. The other was "Dancing Lights" Dessert Party in Hollywood Studios.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Dessert Party as well as the Dancing Lights Dessert Party were themed with Christmas desserts. It was absolutely adorable! Christmas tree cupcakes and snowman shaped cookies made the experience all the more magical! Not to mention their amazing hot chocolate…
I hear they actually don’t even do “Dancing Lights Dessert Party” in Hollywood Studios anymore! Apparently it was discontinued, which is quite sad because it was my second favorite one. Upon entering, we received complimentary Mickey blankets and 3D glasses that made all the shining christmas lights turn into reindeers or gingerbread men.

The last dessert party I went to was Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Dessert Party in Magic Kingdom.
The Halloween themed party was super fun! With ghost shaped cheesecake and zombie shaped sprinkles as ice cream toppers, I truly felt like a kid again. The Halloween spirit was real! Especially being that my family was dressed up as indians for the whole entire theme park day.
