Wow, where do I start? I guess I’ll start by saying I was worried about eating here. I’ve heard horrors about wait times and customer service so I purposely booked a Monday morning reservation in hopes to avoid the crowd. All I can say is WOW! I am so happy I went! Chef mickeys Is located on the 4th floor of the contemporary resort right behind the contempo cafe. When we checked in, we were directed to a line to take a pic while we wait for our table to be ready. It wasn’t even 5 minutes before I got that text message that our table was ready. We took our picture with the friendly cast members & headed to the podium to be seated. On our way to the table, there was a dance party happening. (Oh yeah, every 30 min or so, the characters start dancing randomly and waving their napkins) It was the cutest thing ever. The ambiance of the restaurant is extremely kid friendly & colorful. We met Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. They all really did the most to go the extra mile to make our experience great. We saw all 5 rather quickly too, and management made sure to come around and ask us if we were able to see them all before we left; which was great! This is one of things I was worried about because of negative reviews.
The food was spectacular. A Mickey waffle section with tons of toppings & so much bacon and meat, you can’t possible ask for more. My favorite thing was the cheesy grits, they were so delicious! My hubby was also super happy that they had French toast. I will say this restaurant is 100% overpriced but you’re paying for the experience. I was one of those that was skeptical about it being worth it, I spend money at Disney but $50 per person for breakfast is a bit ridiculous. That being said, I would probably come back. (I did have a $10 mimosa, so it was roughly $45 per person) It was really cute and fun, and the food was good. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re visiting Disney!
