Buena Vista Suites on Lake Buena Vista was FANTASTIC! I booked this hotel through Hotels.com and got a huge discount. Not going to lie, I was a bit scared because not all the reviews were good, but I am so glad I booked anyway! Check in was really smooth and fast, our room was super clean and we had extra sheets in the closet. We actually ordered room service our first night, and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the lobster ravioli and my boyfriend had the chicken parmesan. Safe to say the food was fantastic and well worth it! Now something that I didn't appreciate was that they told us we would get 10% off for eating there, but failed to mention it didn't count towards room service orders. They also charged me an extra $8 for room service, which they failed to mention as well. It's okay though, i had zero complaints about the food and the service. Here's photos of what we ate: The breakfast was absolutely great also. They had a wide selection and every day they switched it up a bit. You can have your eggs made to order too. Here's a few photos from my mornings there: The pool & Jacuzzi area was clean, they give complimentary towels and umbrellas. The Jacuzzi was hot, and spacious. The whole area is lit up very well at night. The room was the best part of the hotel. It was SUPER spacious and the beds were TO DIE FOR. The beds were SOOOOO soft and had so many pillows. I slept great every night. The sofa was a sofa bed, and the floor (although it was carpet) was also clean. No musty smells, even though all the bad reviews said there would be. The only thing I will comment on is that although the bathrooms were gorgeous and clean, they clog easily. It takes long for the water to go down the drain, so theres a puddle during your shower. This is something small for me, since there was still warm water & it was a clean shower. I never saw mold, or mildew, like the reviews also stated. The TV worked fine, had basic channels. The hotel lets you order movies for extra $. The resort charges a $12 resort fee per night, and a $10 deposit per night. However, they charged my card well over $40 for the deposits. I got it back immediately upon checkout, but again, this is something they fail to mention. When we came back from the park on Day 2, the room had been cleaned up and none of our stuff went missing, so that's always good. The staff was very friendly the whole weekend and checkout went smooth as well. The hotel was 12 minutes (maybe less) from all the Disney parks, and they offered free shuttle services to Disney and back. I LOVED how many great restaurants were in the vicinity of the hotel, especially the CVS and 7-11 across the street. That came in handy so many times! The Orlando Outlet mall was also within 15 minutes or less from the hotel. The hotel parking was free and fairly close so the walk with the luggage wasn't too bad.
All in all, this hotel was a solid 4 stars. If it wasn't for the bathroom drain issue, the room service extra charges and lack of 10% off that they promised, and the extra charges for the deposit, it would've been 5 stars. I have already booked this hotel again for my next trip in a month, and I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a family friendly or couple friendly neighborhood hotel near Disney.
